03 May 2011, London, UK – Plain Healthcare and Clinithink have announced a partnership aimed at improving decision support and transmission of clinical information during assessments carried out in primary and urgent care settings.
Clinithink is a new venture that provides innovative, middleware solutions for existing EMR systems to transform the way healthcare professionals and providers’ index, map and analyze their clinical data.
The companies are working on a proof-of-concept version of Plain Healthcare’s Odyssey product integrating CLiX technology from Clinithink. Once established in a pilot deployment Plain Healthcare then plans to roll out the integrated solution across its portfolio and customer base.
Clinithink has developed CLiX, a revolutionary clinical indexing engine. CLiX is a cloud-based technology provided via the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model making it extremely flexible, scalable and cost-effective to integrate and use in healthcare environments or solutions.
Plain Healthcare is a healthcare software solutions company that provides rapid, safe assessments and advice through Odyssey – their clinical decisions support software. Widely used throughout the medical community, Odyssey enables users to offer patient-centred care, as well as creating a unique, user-friendly environment for clinicians and non-clinicians to safely and efficiently assess patients.
Managing Director of Plain Healthcare, Tim Morris said, “CLiX is an exciting new product for the healthcare sector. As a cloud-based technology, it is an ideal fit with our cloud-based strategy. We see the benefit to our customers of integrating this technology stemming from improved access to our clinical decision support content at the point of care and improved structure in the onward communication of the assessment to other care givers.”
CEO of Clinithink, Dr Chris Tackaberry said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Plain Healthcare – an innovative, rapidly growing provider of clinical decision support content in both primary and urgent care sectors. The potential synergy between our offerings is very exciting and will deliver benefits to clinicians, service managers and patients.”
