Dr. Chris Tackaberry
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr Chris Tackaberry is co-founder and CEO of Clinithink where he and his colleagues are enabling the healthcare and life science ecosystem to extract value from rich unstructured data in clinical narrative. Since Clinithink’s inception in 2009, Dr Tackaberry and his team have carried out ground breaking work with global healthcare organizations to leverage clinical data and help solve complex clinical and business problems.

Before co-founding Clinithink, Dr Tackaberry built a successful consulting practice focused on technology strategy, product management and major systems implementation for clients such as Lion Television Inc., Silver Lake Partners, the UK Department of Health and Skype. Prior to that, he spent 7 years in various leadership roles at iSOFT, a UK-based EMR vendor and a major global player in healthcare IT operating in more than 35 countries.
Dr Tackaberry is a qualified physician and MSc Computer Science graduate who spent nine years in anesthesiology and intensive care before embarking on a career in healthcare IT. His collective experience in medicine, computer science and leadership has been the foundation for his stewardship of Clinithink’s strategic direction and growth.
Chief Financial Officer
As Clinithink’s Chief Financial Officer, Martin draws upon his considerable expertise and experience in financial modeling, as well as his commercial knowledge and analytical skills, to help drive the company’s continued growth. Working closely with fellow senior management, his strategic support continues to ensure that Clinithink’s growth goals remain achievable, with solid financial logic at their core.

Clinithink’s Chief Financial Officer, Martin Deleay, brings a diverse breadth and depth of experience to his role with the company, which he assumed in September 2012.
Martin’s background includes managing IT, HR and Administration across various sectors, as well as building and motivating cross-functional finance and administration teams. His experience in contract negotiation with both customers and suppliers will be an invaluable component of Clinithink’s growth strategy.
Prior to joining Clinithink, Martin lent his expertise to a number of companies in the cinema industry, playing a key role in several significant, high-profile transactions. He led the finance transition process between SBC and Warner Village, overseeing all Finance, IT and HR issues. He also played a lead role in Vue’s successful acquisition of Ster Century (UK) Ltd.
Chief Operating Officer
Phil brings a wealth of experience to Clinithink, including his combined technical and business background as well as his proven ability to lead global technology and operations projects. Add his qualifications as a manager of complex technology implementations and product development lifecycles and it’s easy to see why Clinithink management chose Phil for this important position.

Prior to joining Clinithink, Phil served as National Programme for IT Lead Lorenzo Architect, where he was responsible for end-to-end technical delivery for the company’s early deployments and virtual team creation and management across suppliers, Connecting for Health and the broader NHS.
At iSOFT, Phil served as Product Unit Director, where he managed the delivery of the Lorenzo Product and Platform, leading a development organization of 750 designers, developers and testers. He was also responsible for the P&L for a $16 Million Product Business Unit and, as iSOFT’s Infrastructure Manager, he successfully lead the integration of five UK acquisitions, growing the business to 2,500 employees and defining and executing the company’s product and technology strategy.
Phil holds a BSc with Honors in Industrial Information Technology and is a member of the British Computer Society.

Marc Horowitz has more than 30 years of experience working with leading-edge healthcare IT companies. He is a veteran in the healthcare IT industry and has helped create and develop the commercial medical terminology management market in the US and globally.

A co-founder of Health Language (now a part of Wolters Kluwer Health), Marc’s extensive industry knowledge and expertise in clinical applications and managing controlled medical vocabularies has made him a leader in helping healthcare payers and providers implement enterprise-wide medical terminology interoperability.
Marc was Group Business Development Director for iSOFT Group PLC (now part of CSC), a provider of software applications for patient information management, where he was charged with consolidating global business activities and disseminating the iSOFT business proposition worldwide. Marc co-founded Healthcare Communications, Inc. (HCI), best known for its flagship product Cloverleaf.
During his time at HCI, Marc spurred the company’s rapid growth to 1,400 clients in 49 countries and accelerated its transformation into a strong, publicly traded company. Marc is credited with establishing Health Language as the global leader in medical terminology management solutions, including software, services, and content.
Currently on the Board of Director of Stata Health Solutions and Aeon Clinical Laboratories. Held the position of Chairman of the IHTSDO (SNOMED) Vendor Forum from 2010-2014.
Vice President, Solutions
Paul brings his extensive healthcare product management and solution architecture experience to Clinithink, acquired over many years of managing and deploying solutions into a range of complex healthcare environments. As Vice President responsible for solution and product strategy, Paul has the responsibility of leading, defining and delivering the solution and product strategies for Clinithink, in line with the company’s corporate strategy and growth plan.

Prior to joining Clinithink, Paul served as a Solution Director within CSC, one of the world’s leading IT services companies with approximately 79,000 employees worldwide and an annual revenue base of approximately US$13bn. This role included responsibility for leading the functional architecture and clinical input into competitive bids for CSC’s Electronic Patient Record solution, working alongside sales leads, technical architects and commercial specialists.
Prior to CSC, Paul held various roles in iSOFT including EPR Product Management Director, Portfolio Director and Director of Customer Services. Whilst at iSOFT, Paul was a key member of the team that achieved major success in one of the largest and most thorough competitive bidding situations in the healthcare IT marketplace, through the creation of a comprehensive conference room pilot and the management of the partnership with nine organisations throughout the demonstration process. Responsibility subsequently progressed to leading the requirements analysis and design for the key strategic application deployed under the programme, through the leadership of UK and India based product management and design teams.
